Access to the limited print tracking engine is metered with x402: 0.01 HBAR or 0.01 HTS USDC per call, paid from the embedded wallet, so painters — or the agents working for them — pay per query and get a HashScan receipt every time.
Why this primitiveBy moving from a 'database' model to an x402 'metered' model, the act of verification becomes a revenue stream. Collectors pay a negligible fee to ensure their print is authentic, and artists are incentivized to maintain active registries because every interaction generates immediate USDC.
