Access to the commissioned writing engine is metered with x402: 0.01 HBAR or 0.01 HTS USDC per call, paid from the embedded wallet, so writers — or the agents working for them — pay per query and get a HashScan receipt every time.
Why this primitiveEscrow is a high-latency legacy model. By shifting to x402, we turn the poem into a metered API. Payment becomes the primitive for 'releasing the next line', eliminating the need for trust or complex dispute resolution. If the buyer stops paying, the poet stops writing; if the poet stops writing, the buyer stops paying.
